Soon time to head south

Only 11 days now until I head off on my trip to Antarctica. I'll be flying to Paris and then Buenos Aires for a night before catching a third flight to Ushuaia. Ushuaia is the capital of the Tierra del Fuego. I remember learning about Tierra del Fuego when I was at junior school. The first European to see it was the explorer Magellan, and it was named the land of fire as they saw the fires lit by the local people. I'll be stopping a night in Ushuaia before boarding the ship of the same name.
Not sure how often I'll be able to post a blog, but I'll try and write as I go and post when I get back if necessary.
